“I help many people with unresolved
long-term pain. That is why it is so satisfying to me when I can
make a difference in their pain. My patients want someone to acknowledge
that their pain is real. I truly believe in them and will do whatever
it takes to help them.
“It’s an inspiration to me to see the strong will my
patients have… How else could you live with spinal pain? Even
so, my patients deserve freedom from pain, and that is why I do what
I do.
“Science has always held my attention.
This lead to my pursuit of medicine and eventually training under
the guidance of a pain management pioneer and developing techniques
that could be used to stop pain in its tracks. Today, I enjoy the
hands-on experience of pinpointing the source of pain and figuring
out how to relieve it. There are always new ways to help our patients.
“Constantly developing new pain relief modalities goes hand-in-hand
with my belief in learning something new every year. In previous
years, I learned how to drive a race car… ran a marathon… and
even made my own pair of cowboy boots. A life-forward attitude can
take you places…
“If you’re ready to go forward
and find relief from your pain, my attention is yours.”

“Patients often come to me with some very scary-sounding medical
diagnoses they’ve heard. I like to educate them and put their
issues in a larger perspective so they can resolve their problems
and move forward.
“In addition, I am an attentive listener who is receptive to
my patients’ needs. I try to ease their concerns and explain
what they are going through in terms they can understand.
“My patients appreciate being able
to get back to the lifestyles they enjoy. As a key member of their
healthcare team, I also teach patients how to manage issues with
their spine. I find that this helps them see the bigger picture
after diagnosis, and getting patients actively involved in their
own recovery can result in a more positive outcome.
“You shouldn’t have to live
in fear of debilitating pain. With proper pain management and direction,
you can definitely live a quality life that you love.”
